As a Senior Logistics Analyst on the Port and Facility First Mile Transportation team youll play a critical role in ensuring timely and efficient movement of imported goods from U.S. ports of entry through Targets deconsolidation and distribution network.

Youll collaborate with internal partners dray providers and third-party logistics (3PL) partners to deliver operational excellence strengthen carrier relationships and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in speed cost and reliability.

  • Work with cross functional teams to leverage the right data to drive superior execution of transportation solutions.
  • Build rapport with a third party last-mile carrier through detail oriented communication and a demonstration of competency and understanding of overall outbound logistics.
  • Ability to understand key operational processes across a variety of distribution center types to include regional centers fulfillment centers and Multi-Channel supply chains and apply this knowledge across the network.
  • Develop support and manage efficient supply chain processes through communication execution of special events realignments new store openings and HQ driven initiatives. Responsible for maintaining key relationships with internal business partners.
  • Effective program management of steady state and new services that are implemented in the store and distribution network.
  • Proactive identification of problems getting to root cause and developing and implementing process improvements.
  • Identify and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that drive the team toward excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize product flow through port operations ensuring on-time cost-effective transportation.
  • Partner with carriers and 3PL providers to improve performance efficiency and service reliability.
  • Use data and KPIs to identify opportunities measure impact and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to execute transportation strategies and special events with precision.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance visibility streamline processes and enable faster decision-making.
  • Act as a change agentchallenging the status quo and driving innovation across the inbound transportation network.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to high-impact operational events to maintain service commitments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in supply chain Operations Economics or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of ownership and delivering measurable results.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience working with transportation carriers or 3PL partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and KPIs to drive performance improvement.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Transportation management experience preferred.
