With a speeding energy transition and the electricity grid reaching its capacity the need for smart solutions is rapidly increasing. Congestions are preventing new companies as well as new sustainable electricity sources from being connected to the grid. You will be workingat our Alliander business unit. Here youwillshare responsibility for managing andmaintainingenergy networksliketheelectricity and gasgrids. You will share your expertise within the System Operations department an Agile working department with a highly entrepreneurial mindset. The team consists of colleagues from different parts of the world. English is therefore the official working language. This department works on the energy supply of the future and is constantly looking for new innovations that contribute to our services. Within our 20 multidisciplinary teams we have very ambitious professionals.
At team Customer Integration Workflow (CIW) we are at the start of the SO chain where we check and prepare the customer product before passing it on to the other parts of SO. Our responsibility is to make sure we can run the customer product by checking if the customer contracts are available and valid whether we have the means to monitor a customer in the grid and to configure other components accordingly. Our users are our internal Operations team as well as of course the customers with a congestion management contract.
Weare creatingthe energygrid of the futurefor everyone with everyone. And asa full stack developeryoucanplayyour part in this.Yourrolewillinvolve:
Develop backend services in Java 21 and Kotlin (Spring) exposing REST APIs.
Work with PostgreSQL and AWS DocumentDB for data storage.
Build Angular frontends using OpenAPI clients and ngRx for state management.
Use GitHub and Tekton for CI/CD; follow GitOps practices.
Deploy Docker containers to Kubernetes via ArgoCD.
Monitor systems with Elastic and Kibana.
Code in IntelliJ run locally with Docker Desktop.
Maintain code quality with Sonar and manage dependencies with Dependabot.

As a full stack developer you work closely with the other developers in the CIW team to deliver new functionality and keep our current applications up and running. You are not alone: the Developers of the CIW team work closely together by doing (pre)refinements bi-weekly technical meetings story kick-offs pair programming sessions and peer-reviews. And as a Scrum team we also have a Product Owner and a Scrum Master. We also have a lot of fun with each other having drinks every month to celebrate successes. We mostly work from home except for the Thursdays on which the entire team comes to the office in Arnhem. Once a month we also opt to work from the Amsterdam Basisweg office. Working four days a week is always an option the team would like the day off to be Mondays or Wednesdays (preferred) to fit the teams cadence

At least 4 years of experience in Java or Kotlin combined with Spring
At least 2 years experience in JavaScript/Typescript HTML CSS and Angular
You have worked with DevOps (Git Docker Gradle CI/CD and Sonar) and have experience in running and maintaining applications in a live environment.

Based on a40-hour working week you will receive:
a gross monthly salary of5.310 to 7.585 scale 10.
annuallyan Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 18%(full time) or 12.8% (part time)of your gross annual salary. This includes 5.2% ADV (shorter working hours) and 8% holiday allowance. If you do not work full time you are not entitled to ADV. You can havethisbudget paid out as extra salary or use it topurchaseextra days offfor example. You choose theoptionthat is right for you.
24.5 days holidayper year which can be topped up generously from your IKB.
an end-of-year bonus of 6% of your annual salary in December.
