Key responsibilities

As an Assistant Procurement Manager you will play a critical role in driving procurement excellence across our contract logistics operations in Malaysia. Your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Procurement Leadership: Optimize procurement spend across contract logistics categories ensuring cost leadership and value creation.

• Project Management: Lead and execute procurement projects using Maersks Six Sourcing Steps methodology managing timelines stakeholders and deliverables across multiple regions.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with global procurement teams and internal stakeholders to align strategies and share best practices.

• Framework Development: Design and implement procurement frameworks for contract logistics and real estate focusing on compliance supplier performance and operational efficiency.

• Market Intelligence: Conduct supplier market analysis gather competitive intelligence and benchmark costs to maintain a strong market position.

• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and nurture strategic supplier partnerships to drive innovation reliability and long-term value.

• Risk & Issue Resolution: Act as the escalation point for procurement-related disputes ensuring timely and effective resolution.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to digital procurement transformation initiatives.

• Travel: Occasional travel may be required

Were seeking a resilient solution-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced evolving environment. The ideal candidate will have:

• Around 5 years of experience in procurement with hands-on knowledge of SAP Oracle and Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) systems.

• Experience in warehousing distribution or landside transportation is a strong advantage.

• Proven expertise in supplier relationship management contract management and supply chain operations.

• Familiarity with digital procurement tools and platforms.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Agile mindset with customer-centric approach with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Demonstrated success in leading complex sourcing projects.

• High integrity and commitment to compliance.

• Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
