Job Summary
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
- A minimum of 6 months experience as a Banquet Captain.
- The ability to work a full shift (8 hours) walking/standing with or without reasonable accommodations.
- The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays.
- The ability to bend stoop walk and lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- The ability to operate office machines including a computer (MS Office) fax copier and telephone.
- The ability to effectively communication with English language-speaking guests.
- Previous banquet set-up experience in hotel meeting/banquet rooms is a PLUS!
Shift Pattern: Full-Time
Shift: AM/PM Shifts
Hourly Rate: $18.50 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
What will I be doing
As a Banquet Captain you would be responsible for overseeing the set-up and clean-up of food and beverage during banquet functions in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Supervise food and beverage service throughout banquet functions to ensure quality service and product quality
- Assist with the planning organizing and execution of all banquet functions including but not limited to breakfast coffee breaks luncheons dinners cocktail receptions galas etc.
- Greet and welcome client representative and guests responding to requests in a timely friendly and efficient manner
- Participate in and lead department meetings
- Process banquet checks accurately and efficiently for payment
- Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
- Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal state local and company regulations
