About the role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor Powerline Techniciansare responsible forthe installation and maintenance of electrical distribution and transmission systems across the mine is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive4*4schedule consisting of daysonly.

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley and the ability to reliably commute to orrelocatenear Sparwood B.C is necessary.

In this role you will:

Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
Install andmaintainelectrical distribution and transmission systems
Perform utility operator duties such as working with overhead and underground facilities
Operate equipment such as line truck backhoes and related line crew equipment

Requirements:

Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Powerline Technician or equivalent
Valid drivers license
The successful applicant willbe requiredto work in and around equipment at heights and perform physically demanding work
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team isrequired
Demonstrate strong leadership skills. Past supervisory experience is an asset
Adaptable and flexible to changing requirements
Experience in power line construction is an asset

Hourly Wage: $ 52.73
