Lighthouse Lab Services is representing an independent full-service clinical laboratory near New Orleans seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist with expertise in Toxicology to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented technologist with experience in LC-MS/MS or clinical chemistry toxicology who is passionate about delivering high-quality and accurate results in a dynamic laboratory setting.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform moderate and high-complexity testing within the toxicology and chemistry departments in compliance with CLIA and LSBME regulations.
Operate calibrate and maintain LC-MS/MS and other analytical instrumentation used for drug screening and confirmation testing.
Prepare and process clinical specimens with precision ensuring chain of custody and accurate result reporting.
Document all quality control proficiency testing and maintenance activities in accordance with laboratory policies.
Troubleshoot instrumentation and assist with method development or validation as needed.
Collaborate with laboratory leadership to optimize workflows and ensure consistent turnaround times.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold the highest standards of analytical quality and regulatory compliance.
QualificationsLouisiana CLS Generalist License (required) must qualify through ASCP or AAB certification recognized by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME).
Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science Chemistry Biology or related scientific discipline.
Previous clinical toxicology or LC-MS/MS experience strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of chromatography mass spectrometry and related quality control procedures.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and data analysis tools preferred.
