Job Summary
The Womens Soccer Coach is responsible for the overall planning coaching and direction of Drexels Division I Womens Soccer Program.
Essential Functions
- Teach coach train and motivate student-athletes to perform at the highest level through organized team and individual sessions.
- Prepare and organize training sessions to enhance team performance.
- Foster a culture within the womens soccer program that supports the department mission of personal growth inclusion integrity fiscal responsibility brand enhancement and a commitment to athletic and academic excellence.
- Ensure that the program complies with all institution CAA and NCAA rules and regulations.
- Select and successfully recruit student-athletes which meet the needs and growth of the program department and institution. Create a manage a program that retains educates and graduates its student-athletes.
- Communicate with all constituents of the program including staff faculty students parents alumni and friends.
- Establish a strong foundation of alumni support and work to create an alumni board of directors to foster growth of the soccer community through fundraising and engagement.
- Work effectively with administrators staff and coaches within the department of athletics to operate the program effectively.
- In conjunction with strength and conditioning staff develop training and conditioning program.
- Manage budget award scholarships recommend equipment needs and other administrative responsibilities related to program operations.
- Create a competitive non-conference schedule that supports the growth of the program and the student-athlete experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree orthe equivalent combination of education and work experience. (Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience coaching and/or playing collegiate soccer.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and instruct the skills and strategies of soccer.
- Proven success of mentoring student-athletes.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of the role of intercollegiate athletics in a dynamic university setting.
- NSCAA Premier or Advanced National diploma and/or USSF A license or the equivalent.
Physical Demands
- Typically standing walking
- Typically bending crouching stooping
- Typically running climbing
- Lifting demands > 50lbs
