Head Coach, Women's Soccer

Job Summary

The Womens Soccer Coach is responsible for the overall planning coaching and direction of Drexels Division I Womens Soccer Program.

Essential Functions

• Teach coach train and motivate student-athletes to perform at the highest level through organized team and individual sessions.
• Prepare and organize training sessions to enhance team performance.
• Foster a culture within the womens soccer program that supports the department mission of personal growth inclusion integrity fiscal responsibility brand enhancement and a commitment to athletic and academic excellence.
• Ensure that the program complies with all institution CAA and NCAA rules and regulations.
• Select and successfully recruit student-athletes which meet the needs and growth of the program department and institution. Create a manage a program that retains educates and graduates its student-athletes.
• Communicate with all constituents of the program including staff faculty students parents alumni and friends.
• Establish a strong foundation of alumni support and work to create an alumni board of directors to foster growth of the soccer community through fundraising and engagement.
• Work effectively with administrators staff and coaches within the department of athletics to operate the program effectively.
• In conjunction with strength and conditioning staff develop training and conditioning program.
• Manage budget award scholarships recommend equipment needs and other administrative responsibilities related to program operations.
• Create a competitive non-conference schedule that supports the growth of the program and the student-athlete experience.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelors Degree orthe equivalent combination of education and work experience. (Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience coaching and/or playing collegiate soccer.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and instruct the skills and strategies of soccer.
• Proven success of mentoring student-athletes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of the role of intercollegiate athletics in a dynamic university setting.
• NSCAA Premier or Advanced National diploma and/or USSF A license or the equivalent.

This position is classified as Exempt. Compensation for this grade can vary based on thesuccessful candidates qualifications and experience department budget and an internal equity review.
