Chemical Dependency Assessor

Rochester OR Minneapolis - onsite 3 days per week

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Administration

• Receive information from admission about potential admits.
• Contact insurance company HMO Rule 25 Assessor to obtain pre-certification and authorization for treatment.
• Obtain the information for pre-certification and document date who the information was obtained from and time allotted client for treatment.
• Notify the Administrative Assistant of clients days of service whether it beor 90 days.
• Provide the information to the assigned primary counselor in regards to necessary follow-up i.e. date required for call back; whom to contact etc.
• Complete the follow up necessary to get client re-authorized for additional time of services requires information from counselors treatment plan up-dates to be documented on the correct form for each insurance company.
• Complete initial assessments for incoming clients and provide completed assessment to clients primary counselor.
• Complete initial treatment planning for incoming clients and provide completed treatment plan to clients primary counselor.
• Obtain information for and complete Admissions DAANES and Discharge DAANES for all clients of the Licensed Program.
• Learn the teachings of the program and be able to fill in for teacher group leaders when necessary and time allows.

• None

Minimum Qualifications:

• Documented two years freedom from chemical use problems.
• Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor
• Ability to successfully complete MN Dept of Human Services background study.
• Possession of a valid drivers license and a clean driving record that will be accepted by this organizations vehicle insurance carrier.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Very well organized.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
• Ability to remain on task and follow projects through to their completion.
• Excellent word processing and spreadsheet skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access computer programs.
• Maintain professional standards of conduct and appearance with co-workers and the public.

Compensation Range (Negotiable based on qualifications):

$56000-$62000/year - LADC

$54000-$57000/year - ADC-T
