Senior Electrical Project Engineer MEP Design

About the Opportunity
An established and respected engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for a variety of commercial retail and institutional projects.
This is an ideal opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer who enjoys technical challenges thrives in a leadership role and is passionate about shaping high-quality code-compliant building systems. Youll take ownership of major projects collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and guide engineers and designers toward successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Lead electrical design for power distribution lighting fire alarm and low-voltage systems.

Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) on key projects.

Oversee design documentation specifications and calculations.
-
Manage electrical project scopes schedules and budgets.
-
Collaborate with architects contractors and other disciplines to deliver coordinated designs.
-
Review submittals perform site visits and ensure construction aligns with design intent.
-
Mentor junior engineers and designers; review work for accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred).

12 years of experience in electrical design for building systems.
-
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Proven success leading MEP design projects through all phases.

Strong knowledge of NEC NFPA and related codes.

Proficiency in Revit AutoCAD and Bluebeam; experience with SKM AGi32 or Visual preferred.

Excellent communication organization and leadership skills.
