Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC or Plumbing Estimator to join our team. As an HVAC or Plumbing Estimator you will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost and scope of HVAC and/or plumbing projects for commercial and industrial clients. You will work closely with our sales team project managers and customers to understand project requirements and provide detailed estimates to support bidding and project planning.

Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications drawings and other documents to understand HVAC and/or plumbing project requirements.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess existing systems and gather necessary information for estimating.
- Analyze blueprints schematics and technical documentation to determine equipment material and labor requirements for HVAC and/or plumbing components.
- Collaborate with the sales team and project managers to develop comprehensive and accurate cost estimates.
- Prepare detailed estimates for HVAC and/or plumbing projects including equipment selection labor costs material costs and project timelines.
- Identify potential risks challenges and opportunities associated with each project and communicate them effectively.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes and pricing for HVAC and/or plumbing materials and services.
- Prepare and present estimates to customers highlighting key details pricing breakdowns and project specifications.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings to ensure a smooth transition from estimation to project execution.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates proposals and supporting documentation for HVAC and/or plumbing projects.
- Stay updated with industry trends new technologies and changes in regulations related to HVAC and/or plumbing systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date estimates.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in HVAC plumbing or related fields is preferred.

- Proven experience as an HVAC or Plumbing Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.

- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems equipment materials installation techniques plumbing systems and materials.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints schematics and technical documentation related to HVAC and/or plumbing systems.

- Familiarity with HVAC and/or plumbing estimation software and tools.

- Experience with estimating HVAC and/or plumbing projects is required.

- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to accurately calculate costs and quantities.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams customers subcontractors and suppliers.

- Ability to prioritize tasks manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to HVAC and/or plumbing systems.
