We are currently looking for a qualified candidate forHouse Supervisor FTNights here at Iberia Medical Center. Under the general supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer the House Supervisor oversees and coordinates activities of patient care personnel to deliver services to patients visitors physicians and staff. This person will:
- Oversee nursing care and ascertains condition of patients.
- Communicates administrative/clinical situations to Department Managers and Administration as appropriate.
- Interprets policies and regulations to staff members and ensures conformance.
- Applies the nursing process (assessment planning intervention and evaluation).
- Effectively interacts with patient significant others and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical psycho/social education safety and related criteria for the pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric population.
Education:
- Nursing school graduate BSN preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Training/Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Louisiana current BCLS certification ACLS preferred
- Previous House Supervision experience a plus; Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred ER/ICU experience
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of JCAHO standards and survey process
- Ability to clearly formulate and articulate concepts and ideas within small or large groups
- Conflict resolution critical analysis stress management and leadership skills needed
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of human resource and financial management
