Job Summary

Job description:

1. To understand the OSI reference model to master the basic principle of TCP/IP protocol.

2. To master the ethernet/layer2 switching/Vlan principle.

3. To master the mainstream WAN link (PPP/POS and so on) the working mode and application scene.

4. To master the principle of OSPF/ISIS/BGP the high-level characteristic and thecomplex application scene to master the route import the route policy principle andapplication scene.

5. To understand MPLS L3VPN VPLS/VLL/CCC L2VPN MPLS TE/Multicast/QoS very well.

6. The understanding of basic protocol of network management to master the basic principle of SNMP and the network management operating system and the common database commands.

7. To understand the basic network security knowledge.

8. To master the principle of MPLS TE protocol.

9. To master the strategy formulation principle of QoS and the work principle of key technologies.

10. To master the basic theory about the high availability (HA) designs to understand typical technology (BFD/GR/FRR/FC) principle.

Product Knowledge:

1. Equipment characteristic the essential performance index the card type and common network of several typical Datacom equipment (Router/Switch/Firewall).

2. To master the simple service configuration (with principle correspondence) on the router/switch as well as debugging.

3. To master upgrading and maintenance knowledge about several typical products.

4. To master using method of the data collection tool inspection tool upgrading tool the long-distance measure tool.

5. To master the typical network management system installation method and the content and method of equipment monitoring content and method.

Work Experience:

1. Knowledge of the architecture of P PE and RR routers.

2. Must have skills to conduct network diagnostic tests and analyze the results using

test equipment at and advanced level.

3. Must have excellent critical thinking communications and interpersonal skills as well.

4. Desired understanding of telecom equipment.

5. L1 & L2 must have extensive experience consulting on issues related to delivering

satisfactory network services to customers including performance capacity and

reliability.

6. Experienced in resolving technical (hardware software and communications) malfunctions.

7. Ability to get root cause analysis in case of problems and the ability recreate problems in lab environment when requested.

8. Must be experienced in scheduling and executing various planned hardware/software changes.

9. 3 years in operations for service provider/telecom type of environment.

Education:

BS/MS in Electrical (Telecom/Electronics) preferable Telecom from a well reputed University
