Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business; CPA designation or equivalent is an asset.
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience including 2-3 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of accounting operations month-end close and reconciliations.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online with experience using Plooto Float Payworks or Dext.
- Strong communication skills and proven experience managing client relationships.
- Experience with nonprofits or professional services firms is an advantage.
- Highly organized detail-oriented and proactive in process improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee bookkeeping and accounting operations across multiple nonprofit clients (month-end reconciliations reporting compliance).
- Manage and review the work of bookkeepers to ensure accuracy timeliness and consistency.
- Serve as the primary client contact for assigned accounts leading onboarding financial reviews and client communications.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring processes (AP AR reconciliations reporting).
- Support system setup and integrations (QuickBooks Online Plooto Float Dext Payworks).
- Collaborate with the Companys Principal and senior team on resource planning scopes of work and delivery timelines.
- Lead internal training and knowledge-sharing across the finance team.
