Job Summary

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business; CPA designation or equivalent is an asset.
  • 5-7 years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience including 2-3 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting operations month-end close and reconciliations.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online with experience using Plooto Float Payworks or Dext.
  • Strong communication skills and proven experience managing client relationships.
  • Experience with nonprofits or professional services firms is an advantage.
  • Highly organized detail-oriented and proactive in process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee bookkeeping and accounting operations across multiple nonprofit clients (month-end reconciliations reporting compliance).
  • Manage and review the work of bookkeepers to ensure accuracy timeliness and consistency.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for assigned accounts leading onboarding financial reviews and client communications.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring processes (AP AR reconciliations reporting).
  • Support system setup and integrations (QuickBooks Online Plooto Float Dext Payworks).
  • Collaborate with the Companys Principal and senior team on resource planning scopes of work and delivery timelines.
  • Lead internal training and knowledge-sharing across the finance team.
