OVERVIEW OF COMPANY AND POSITION
Family owned and operated for over 40 years Bob Ruth Ford Inc. is South Central Pennsylvanias fastest growing dealership. The part time Shuttle Driver position is primarily responsible for transporting customers to and from the dealership. This position also serves as a back-up to the Porter as necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (REQUIRED)
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid Pennsylvania Drivers License
- Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Ability to work irregular hours which may include evenings bell-to-bell hours and/or Saturdays
- A good work ethic and willingness to perform various duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS (PREFERRED)
- One or more years of experience as a porter driver or lot attendant supporting an automotive dealership
- Prior experience supporting a dealership auto auction used car lot or related operation
JOB DUTIES
This position is primarily responsible for transporting service customers to and from the dealership and picking up/delivering parts. As necessary this position also serves a back-up or complement to the Porter by performing duties which typically include but are not limited to the following:
- Shuttling new preowned loaner service newly purchased and other vehicles from one lot dealership or location to another
- Welcoming Service customers and assisting with basic inquiries
- Locating and tagging cars for advisors or sales consultants
- Maintaining a neat clean and orderly parking lot
- Performing maintenance and upkeep on auto signage
- Running errands as requested by the service department
- Adding gasoline to vehicles as necessary
- Answering phones and greeting customers
- Receiving and delivering customers vehicles
- Sanitizing vehicles frequently
- Managing loaner car fleet
- Contacting customers to arrange shuttle and valet
