Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) ICU Float (CWR)
Location:EdisonNJ
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights 3x12 (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Schedule Requirements:
Every Other Weekend Required
Holiday Rotation Required
No On-Call
Float Required (within skillset)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled ICU Float Registered Nurse to provide high-acuity patient care in a critical care environment. This role requires strong ICU/CCU experience and the ability to float to telemetry/stepdown units as needed. The ideal candidate will have neuro ICU experience and the ability to care for a maximum of four telemetry patients when floated.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessments and evaluate patient conditions in the ICU/CCU setting.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient health needs.
Perform complex therapeutic nursing interventions and manage critical care equipment.
Monitor patient status interpret data and notify care team of significant changes.
Document care accurately according to unit standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide patient- and family-centered education and support.
Float to Telemetry/Stepdown units (4W or 5N) with a maximum of 4 tele patients when required.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
Required Experience
Minimum 2 years recent ICU/CCU experience in a high-acuity hospital (Level I or Level II Trauma preferred).
Must have Neuro ICU experience.
Minimum 1 year recent Med-Surg and Telemetry bedside experience.
Education Requirements
ASN required
BSN preferred
Licensure & Certifications
Required:
Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license
AHA BLS
AHA ACLS
NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
CEU: Stroke Contact Hours (4 hours minimum)
Telemetry certification or equivalent proficiency
