ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Department of Corrections (DOC)

To be a member of the core team responsible for the provision of Medication Assisted Treatment to the
inmate population within Department of Correction facilities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide psychoeducation counseling and support to individuals and groups with substance use disorders utilizing both professional training and personal recovery experience.
• Educate clients and their families about behavioral health and substance use disorders treatment options and coping strategies.
• Coordinate and manage client care with community providers and other referral agencies to ensure comprehensive and continuous treatment in collaboration with the clients assigned clinician/therapist and clinical team.
• Meet all requirements of program contracts including productivity caseload management reporting and timeliness of client contact.
• Perform tox screens including observed urine screens oral swabs and/or hair testing.
• Attend training sessions conducted by CHR staff or external consultants as requested or required.
• Actively participate as a full member of the treatment team attending all staff meetings and team meetings.
• Perform other duties related to the position as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Associate or bachelors degree required.

Experience: Personal experience with recovery and a commitment to supporting others on their journey is highly valued in this role. Minimum of 2 years experience with associates degree and (1) year experience with a bachelors degree working in a setting with individuals with substance use problems.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: C.A.C. or C.A.D.C. preferred.

COMPENSATION*:

Starting at $21.69/hr min. and up commensurate upon experience.

*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
