Platform Engineer

At Instabee were revolutionizing last-mile deliveries by offering smooth and effortless shipping to consumers. We currently operate three consumer-facing brands: Instabox Porterbuddy and Budbee and are present in six European countries.

As a member of the Platform team youll be a key player in designing and building the platform that empowers our engineering teams to effortlessly build deploy and operate their services.

Were not about one size fits all we provide the tools and golden paths while encouraging autonomy and ownership.

What youll do:

• Design build and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions on GCP.
• Develop and manage internal tools/services from authentication to observability and security.
• Build custom solutions where off-the-shelf tools dont fit our needs.
• Champion key platform components like Kubernetes (GKE) observability tools (LGTM stack) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize performance and ensure seamless deployments.
• Enhance security by implementing and promoting best practices.

What were looking for:

• 5 years in backend or platform engineering.
• Strong programming skills (we mainly use Go) and knowledge of modern architectures.
• Significant experience with public cloud platforms (e.g. GCP AWS Azure).
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and modern observability tools (e.g. Loki Grafana Mimir Tempo).
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (we use Terraform).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (we use GitHub Actions).
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Passion for creating top-notch tools for developers.
