A well-regarded secondary school in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a Science Technician to join their Science faculty as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on practical work is organised and values being part of a collaborative school environment.
You will support Science teachers with the preparation and delivery of practical lessons across Biology Chemistry and Physics. Your work will directly contribute to making Science inspiring safe and accessible for students. Key duties include:
Preparing chemicals equipment and materials for lessons
Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring safe storage
Supporting demonstrations and practical investigations
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
Ordering stock and monitoring resources
Helping to maintain a clean and well-organised lab environment
This role is ideal for someone who is proactive calm under pressure and enjoys variety.

Science background (education lab experience or industry) preferred
Good organisation and communication skills
Reliable and able to work independently and with staff teams
Training will be provided if needed
