The Pharmacy Technician 2 obtains new prescriptions and prescription refill information. The Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.

The Pharmacy Technician II plays a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations and ensuring accurate and efficient service delivery. This position works under minimal supervision and follows established policies and procedures with some discretion in prioritizing tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve count and measure medications accurately for dispensing.
  • Assist the pharmacist with price-checking and restocking of medications.
  • Access input and retrieve prescription information using pharmacy computer systems.
  • Refer all physician inquiries and medical-related questions directly to the pharmacist.
  • Operate a cash register to process customer transactions if needed.
  • Make decisions based on interpretation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Work within defined parameters to meet work expectations and quality standards.
  • Exercise some independence in prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Follow standard practices while allowing for limited interpretation or deviation when appropriate.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license with the FL Board of Pharmacy.

  • PTCB or ExCPT Certified.

  • Must reside in a commutable distance to onsite location in Hialeah FL.

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-year previous experience as Pharmacy Technician in a high-volume pharmacy

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Bilingual in English / Spanish with the ability to speak read and write in both languages without limitations or assistance.

  • We are located at:

    975 W 49th Street Hialeah FL 33012

  • Operating hours 8am - 5pm EST

  • Will work approximately 30-40 hours per week based on business needs.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills knowledge experience education certifications etc.


$40000 - $52300 per year
