Job Summary
Responsibilities
Peraton requires Unified Communication Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 EOM. This position islocatedatMacDill AFBin Florida.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM its Component Commands its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs) and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration change license and asset management; conduct training and perform Install Move Add Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM the CIO/J6 organization and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
Unified Communications (UC) Administrator:
- Administers the operation of all SOCOM Unified Communications systems and services according to Government policies and procedures
- Diagnose and resolve Unified Communicationsrelated issues including performance connectivity call quality problems dropped calls video conferencing failuresand other Unified Communicationsproblems
- Provide Tier 2 or Tier 3 support to end-users and IT staff
- Administers Unified Communications security antivirus and spam control measures
- Uses a variety of tools to monitor and troubleshoot networks networks (Real-Time Monitoring Tool (RTMT)Command PromptPower Shell andVQ Conference Manager)
- Works independently and provides administration of Unified Communicationssystems
- Creates monitoring reports and logs and ensures the functionality of Unified Communicationssystems
- Documents and maintains Unified Communications topologies
- Completes ticket request works to resolve incidents and escalates to engineering team when required
- Add Office 365 users and assign licenses (manually or by using automated tools such as PowerShell scripts)
- Monitor Office 365 and Cisco Jabber usage and troubleshoot issues that arise. This can involve monitoring service health analyzing usage reports and responding to user feedback and support requests
- Stay up to date with Office 365 and Cisco Jabber updates and new features and evaluate how they may impact USSOCOM.
- Add and manage users: to Cisco Jabber and manage their access and settings such as creating user accounts assigning roles and configuring user settings
- Configure chat and calling features for Cisco Jabber to meet USSOCOMs needs. This involves setting up chat rooms configuring audio and video settings and setting up call forwarding and voicemail
- Manage Cisco Jabber Persistent Chat (PChat) Spaces to enable multiuser collaboration and communication. This involves creating one of two types of chat spaces as requested:
- Public Space: This space is open to all Jabber users and allows users to join at will
- Private Space: This allows for specified Moderators to control access to the space and add authorized users
- Administration of Voice and Video endpoints
- Add and configurenew devices
- Update or remove devices as necessary
- Administration of IP telephony systems including VoIP phones voicemail systems call groups
- AdministrationofCisco VCS Expressway-C Expressway-E as necessary to manage Voice and Video traffic
- Perform daily system performance checks and report readiness status
- Create training documentation and conduct training sessions for staff and users
- Stay current with Unified Communicationstechnologies and industry standards
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Min 12 years with HS Diploma 10 years with AS/AA degree or 8 years with BS/BA 6 years with MS/MA or 3 years with a PhD
- DoD TS/SCI clearance
- DoD 8570 IAT II Certification AND CCNAORMicrosoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
