Job Summary
Lumacron Technology an ARKA Group L.P. Company delivers world-class solutions to the optical communications marketplace. We have a new office in Edinburgh Park as we expand our European Headquarters so were seeking Industrial placement Firmware Engineers to help work on short term projects to enhance Lumacrons flagship network monitoring products. The Edinburgh office comprises of a small dynamic team of 20 who enjoy a relaxed but hard-working culture. This environment allows unique access across all disciplines in the company for a broad work experience.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the R&D Project Manager candidates will be given the opportunity to take part in the day-to-day development process. The projects are multi-disciplinary and include architecture design and verification of FPGA sub-systems collaborating with peer design teams in hardware and software. The role is multi-disciplinary and includes development of FPGA IP Cores full FPGA System-on-Chip RTL designs and verification test benches. Support will be given to integrate the candidate into the team and training on the tools that are used will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of designing FPGA IP cores or sub-systems
- Knowledge of VHDL/Verilog HDL languages for FPGA design
