1The Automation & Observability Architect defines the vision architecture and standards for automation and observability across OT/PCN and enterprise environments. This role provides technical leadership to design scalable secure and resilient solutions that enable end-to-end visibility and reliability of critical services. The architect partners with product owners SREs and platform teams to establish architectural patterns enforce governance and guide implementation of CI/CD telemetry and ITSM integrations. The position influences technology roadmaps ensures alignment with compliance frameworks and mentors engineering teams to deliver high-quality automated operations.Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to
Architect observability frameworks: define instrumentation standards for metrics logs and traces; design dashboards and alerting strategies aligned to business KPIs and user experience.
Set reliability architecture: establish SLIs/SLOs/error budgets as part of system design; embed resilience patterns and failure-mode analysis into solutions.
Design automation pipelines: architect CI/CD workflows (Azure DevOps) for multi-environment deployments; enforce security and compliance gates.
Integrate ITSM and telemetry: define patterns for ServiceNow integration (incident/change automation CMDB enrichment) and ensure observability data flows into operational workflows.
Govern compliance telemetry: incorporate SolarWinds NCM outputs and device health into architectural blueprints for network and system compliance.
Lead vendor and stakeholder engagement: drive technical design sessions evaluate third-party solutions and ensure interoperability with enterprise platforms.
Publish architecture artifacts: create high-level and detailed design documents reference architectures and data-flow diagrams; maintain architectural decision records.
Mentor and enable teams: guide engineers on best practices for automation observability and reliability; support knowledge transfer across global teams.
Influence technology strategy: contribute to roadmap planning tool selection and standards for observability and automation platforms.
