The Traineeship
We currently have 2x Individual Disability Support traineeship opportunities based across Supported Independent Living (SIL) sites on the Sunshine Coast. One Individual Support traineeship will be based in the Nambour/Mapleton region . You will have the chance to work with one of the largest disability service providers in Australia whilst completing a Certificate 3 Individual Support. The team you will be working with are very supportive and enthusiastic. They will be able to guide you and provide you with a wealth of knowledge along the way.
In this Traineeship you will learn how to provide support within theHome Service;assisting people with disabilities to live as independently as possible whether they have complex needs or just need some additional support at home. No two days will be the same! We provide the opportunity to live their best lives and to fulfill their goals and dreams.
What will you bring to the role
Our team will help you develop during the traineeship but there are some minimum requirements and key traits were looking for:
- An aspiration to work in rewarding Disability Support Work
- An eye for detail with the ability to follow directions well
- A candidate who wants to learn and grow on the job!
- Blue Card NDIS worker screening check and First Aid/CPR is required (we will reimburse costs)
- Youll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with tasks that can change from day to day as you increase your knowledge and learn new systems.
- Ability to work 15hrs per week (Monday- Friday to start with)
- Drivers Licence (preferred or obtaining soon)
- Provide two references
- Successful candidates will participate in a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol test
