Job Summary and Responsibilities
The RN Transition Fellow provides professional nursing care to patients of all ages in accordance with individual needs physician orders Hospital policy and standards of nursing practice. He/She is responsible for directing and coordinating members of the care team focusing on the provision of individualized quality patient care consistent with organizational values. The RN Transition Fellow is directly supervised by a Registered Nurse Preceptor who is present on the unit. The RN Transition Fellow under direct supervision develops increasing skills and knowledge in his/her ability to provide independent safe patient care by the end of their orientation.

Job Requirements
Graduate of Accredited RN school of Nursing required.
Completion of an approved Basic Arrhythmia course prior to the start of the transition program (unless otherwise agreed upon by Unit Director and Education department to complete during the program) or
Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting required.
Registered Nurse with current CA License and current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider card required.
ACLS PALS (per unit requirements)
Successful completion of a formal Dignity Health interview process; the overall scoring of the interview consensus will be taken into consideration in determining the selection of candidate(s).
Current employees: Must be in good standing with no disciplinary actions within the past twelve(12) months and with at least a Meets standards on the last 2 perfomance evaluations.
