As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community - Wealth Management you will be a seasoned member of an agile team tasked with designing and delivering trusted market-leading technology products that are secure stable and scalable. Your role involves implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains supporting various business functions to achieve the firms objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Design develop and optimize ETL pipelines using AWS Glue (Pyspark and Python).
- Architect and automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
- Integrate AI/ML models (using AWS SageMaker or custom solutions) into data pipelines for batch and real-time processing.
- Build and maintain data lakes and data warehouses (S3 Redshift Athena).
- Collaborate with data scientists engineers and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
- Ensure data quality validation and governance across all pipelines.
- Monitor troubleshoot and optimize Glue jobs and infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for data and infrastructure deployments.
- Document solutions processes and best practices.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- Experience in Python programming for data engineering.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Glue PySpark and related AWS services (S3 Redshift Lambda Athena).
- Strong expertise in Terraform for AWS infrastructure automation.
- Experience integrating and operationalizing AI/ML models in production data pipelines.
- Solid understanding of data lake data warehouse and big data architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins CI AWS CodePipeline).
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- AWS Certification (e.g. AWS Certified Data Analytics AWS Certified Machine Learning AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with containerization (Docker ECS EKS).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) beyond Terraform (e.g. CloudFormation).
- Experience with data visualization tools (QuickSight Tableau).
- Prior experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical teams.
