Pay Range: $100658.80 - $111441.15
100% Onsite
The Plant Engineer will provide engineering support and project leadership for the plant The expectation is that this role will spend approximately 60% of the time on project related activities and 40% of the time on plant support activities. At times either activity could exceed expectation. The Plant Engineer I role will include project implementation production and equipment improvement initiatives and support the daily operations of the plant to ensure all safety and quality goals are achieved.
- Project management project planning project coordinator purchasing and supervision of contractors for various projects to assure completion on a timely basis within budget.
- Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements.
- Lead and assist management with appropriate training to assure regulatory compliance.
- Report to the Director of Engineering with a dotted line to the Plant Manager.
- Maintain appropriate communication/relationships with all employees vendors visitors.
- Provide the necessary safety training to contractors and others as necessary.
- Follow monitor and ensure compliance with all safety food safety environmental GMP rules regulations and policies.
- Attend daily production/quality meetings.
- Provide technical support for plant processes and improvements.
- Observe facility operations and assist with problem solving on a regular basis.
- Assist management with appropriate training to assure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications :
Education: BS degree in engineering or technical related area from an accredited college/university; Chemical Electrical or Mechanical preferred
Related Experience: Proven Engineering experience of 3 5 years
Equipment/Software Skills: Working knowledge in personal computers (Microsoft software necessary Project management Microsoft Project preferred) and basic understanding with Allen Bradley PLC. Knowledge of CMMS such as MP2 is a plus. Must have good working knowledge of general PC systems.
Certifications Licenses Registrations: None required any maintenance related licenses would be a plus such as PE ASME welding PLCs wastewater etc.
Additional Information :
Physical: Ability to walk distances across facility climb steps and ladders on occasions sitting at office desk work sometimes in cooler atmosphere ( 35-45 degrees) sometimes in engine room ( 95 degrees in hot months).
Sensory: Ability to hear see speak smell and touch well is necessary to perform basic essential task.
Mental/Reasoning: Basic problem solving skills are necessary
