Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Salary: $40.24 - $57.68 per hour. Start rate non-negotiable.
Shifts: 3 shifts per week 7.5 hours each Weekdays and Evenings On-Call as needed
Status: Temporary Part Time (12 months)
Closing Date: November 28 2025

Interventional Radiology is a state-of-the-art specialty that combines advanced imaging to perform life-changing minimally invasive procedures across the whole bodytransforming patient care without traditional surgery. The team is made up of nurses medical radiation technologists interventional radiologists surgeons and anesthetists who all work together to provide incredible patient care.

Duties

  • Provide specialized nursing care including pre- intra- and post-procedural patient assessment moderate sedation administration hemodynamic monitoring and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective outcomes
  • Apply knowledge of nursing science theory skill and critical decision making in the provision of compassionate collaborative and competent care in accordance with the UHN Professional Practice Model for Nursing and the mission and vision of nursing at UHN
  • Ensure practice is consistent with professional standards and the ethical framework as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario and the UHN policy and procedure
  • Demonstrate commitment to professional life long learning by participating in continuing education activities to meet the needs of the patient population served and the standards of the profession
  • Perform reflective practice analyzing and evaluating nursing knowledge and modifying practice accordingly to improve the quality of nursing and patient care

Qualifications :

  • Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) certification
  • Venipuncture and I.V. insertion skills
  • Minimum of two (2) years recent nursing experience in any of the following areas required: Interventional Radiology Intensive Care Emergency Department Cath Lab Operating Room
  • Proficient in ECG interpretation including recognition of arrhythmias and conduction abnormalities and applying ECG findings to clinical decision-making
  • Coronary Care 1 certificate or equivalent preferred
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Completion of a recognized Critical Care certificate or Emergency Nurse certificate preferred
