Job Summary

 

As an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner with Proficient or Advanced suitability working as a Team Lead will see you make a real difference in the lives of people living with disability by helping them and those around them. You will focus on enhancing quality of life reducing behaviours of concern and promoting the rights of people with disability.

You will support and lead a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners to deliver evidence-based person-centred positive behaviour support services to participants in the community.

You live in or very close to the suburbs of Penrith or Liverpool or Campbelltown or Blacktown or in the Canterbury-Bankstown area of Sydney.

 

As a Team Lead you will:

  • undertake the support for your own reduced caseload of participants of all ages by providing exceptional evidence-based person-centred positive behaviour supports
  • identify provide input and implement ongoing quality improvement opportunities for service delivery by OCA
  • provide leadership that optimises individual potential and supports team members to thrive as clinicians whilst also working collaboratively with the leadership group to optimise the quality of supports provided
  • ensure OCA provides a workplace that is safe healthy and respectful along with actively contributing to growing the culture of being a fun people-focused and stimulating place to work

About You

  • Current suitability ( with the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner) at the Proficient or Advanced level is essential
  • Demonstration of alignment to the companys vision to deliver evidence-based outcome-focused supports which enable individuals and their significant others to live their best lives
  • Developed leadership skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to being a team player
  • Substantial experience in the provision of positive behaviour supports as recognised by The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework
  • Ability to demonstrate up-to-date evidence-based clinical skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to continuing professional development
  • Current drivers licence and own reliable vehicle

  • degree level qualifications of relevance to providing support to people with behaviours of concern are strongly preferred
