HIRING: Barista / Beverage Specialist

Location: FROTH at The Duncan 1515 W Monroe St Chicago IL 60607

Schedule: ThursdaySunday 4:00 PM12:00 AM

Compensation: $14.50/hr tips

Start Date: late-November / early-December

About the Role

FROTH (part of Heritage Hospitality) is expanding its hours and reimagining what nightlife can look like no alcohol no hangovers just great drinks great people and a different kind of buzz.

Were launching FROTH After Five an evening program centered around THC-infused beverages zero-proof cocktails and non-alcoholic beers and wines all served with the same hospitality and craft that define FROTHs daytime café experience.

Were looking for an evening Barista / Beverage Specialist who thrives in calm connected service environments and has curiosity about emerging beverage culture. This role is ideal for someone who has café experience a genuine sense of hospitality and wants to be part of a new movement in Chicagos beverage scene.

Requirements

• Prepare serve and understand a menu of classic café offerings non-alcoholic beverages and THC beverages in accordance with Heritage Hospitalitys standards & recipes and local compliance guidelines.
• Educate guests on product types dosage and effects with professionalism and accuracy.
• Manage flow behind the counter and maintain a clean organized service area.
• Ensure compliance with ID verification and serving procedures.
• Operation of the Square point-of-sale system and accurate handling of card transactions.
• Monitor stock and communicate needs of product inventory.
• Execution of opening and closing procedures.
• Perform side work as needed and support the kitchen team with coordination on food orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of barista experience and curiosity about THC and non-alcoholic trends is required. Experience as a bartender is a plus.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have or obtain a valid Food Handler certification.
• Must be ableto stand for extended periods of time and reach bend and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be comfortable working evening hours. (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM Thursday - Sunday)
• Must possess excellent communication skills and maintain a calm & professional demeanor with reliability honesty and integrity.
• Must be comfortable working solo & as a team player.
• Must be able to communicate and write clearly in English; Spanish is a plus.
