Job Summary
DNV-Area China South is part of the Maritime Region Greater China and consists of more than 100 employees in 4 major locations. Services delivered are related to ship classification of vessels and offshore units as well as certification of material and components.
DNV-Area China South is currently seeking to employ the next generation talentor/and experienced professionals who would like to pursue their further career in the leading Classification a Surveyor you will become team member of Station Nantong NB & CMClocated in Nantong area.
The successful candidates will be employed as Surveyors performing tasks including but not limited to:
- Surveys on ships/mobile offshore units
- Surveys for Certification of materials and components
- Project management of ships or MOU new buildings
Further responsibilities:
- Ensure that the work or duties performed are in accordance with the rules regulations instructions guidelines and quality requirements of DNV
- Maintain the confidentiality of clients business processes designs developments and documentation
- Communicate to line management at the earliest appropriate opportunity if in receipt of information that is important to the reputation and integrity of DNV

Qualifications
Position Qualifications:
- University degree (BSc or higher) on Naval Architecture and/or Marine Engineering
- Professionals with 3 to 10 years of experience in the maritime industry preferably in classification shipyard or technical superintendent. Young professionals with less working experience will be also considered.
- Team player but able to work independently on surveys
- Physical abilities necessary to perform regular functions of the job e.g. Climbing ship side pilot ladders & in/out of tanks and confined spaces
- Good communication skills and fluent in English language (speaking and writing)
Security and compliance with statutory requirements in the countries in which we operate is essential for DNV. Background checks will be conducted on all final candidates as part of the offer process in accordance with applicable country-specific laws and practices.
