Position Summary:
As a Speech Therapist (SLP) at NLRF you will provide comprehensive evaluation treatment and consultation for individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. You will work in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment and contribute to both direct patient care and the development of clinical programs. You may also supervise assistants technicians students and contribute to administrative functions when required.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
Conduct screenings and comprehensive assessments of speech language and swallowing functions
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician orders
Deliver therapy services in individual group or supervised formats
Provide education and training to patients families and caregivers
Monitor patient progress and revise treatment strategies accordingly
Document evaluations care plans and patient progress in the clinical documentation system in a timely manner
Apply consistent knowledge of insurance and reimbursement regulations
Team Collaboration & Communication:
Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning
Collaborate with physicians therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Communicate effectively with patients families caregivers and colleagues
Provide consultation and support to facility teams
Leadership & Program Support:
Participate in orientation and training of new staff and students
May assist in administrative functions such as caseload management record oversight and supply ordering
Support quality improvement initiatives and promote service excellence
May contribute to census-building and marketing efforts
Stay current with clinical knowledge through continuous education and professional development
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
Active Florida license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Experience with communication and swallowing disorders preferably in a rehabilitation setting
Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and intervention models
Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in a collaborative interdisciplinary team environment
