Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Senior Trade Compliance Analyst to support our import operations and ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. This role will be responsible for managing import entry processes maintaining compliance databases supporting audits and applying trade regulations including classification valuation and free trade agreements.

Essential Functions:

  • Review and process import entries for accuracy and compliance with CBP regulations.

  • Maintain and update trade compliance databases and documentation.

  • Conduct internal audits and support external audits related to customs compliance.

  • Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS) and ensure proper valuation.

  • Monitor and interpret changes in customs regulations rulings and trade agreements.

  • Support implementation and documentation of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) including USMCA.

  • Collaborate with internal departments and external brokers to resolve compliance issues.

  • Assist with tariff mitigation opportunities and programs including duty drawback.

  • Recover and maintain critical Section 232 and related import data elements.

  • Provide training and guidance to staff on trade compliance topics.

  • Prepare reports and metrics.

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however others can be developed along the way.

Qualifications:

  • CCS CES or LCB certification strongly preferred.

  • 5 years of experience in import compliance customs brokerage or related field.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations HTS classification valuation and FTAs.

  • Experience with ACE ABI systems and import entry processes.

  • Proficiency in Excel and database management tools.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and analytical abilities.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $72300 - $115300 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills relevant experience business needs and geographic addition to base pay this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

At Brunswick it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidates qualifications and the business context.
