Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Cardiology Technician is responsible for performing all cardiac diagnostic procedures primarily: EKG and EKG MUSE Medical entry and records. Cardiology technicians may also be responsible for EEG treadmill exercise tests Holter monitoring and scanning pacemaker analysis and telephonic arrhythmia monitoring.
Job Requirements
Required:
- Graduate of a program for cardiovascular technology
- Certification from the National Board for Cardiovascular Technology
- Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
Preferred:
- One year experience performing EKGs and treadmill exercise testing in an acute care hospital
- EEG experience
