Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to oversee and ensure quality standards for solar PV projects in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy specifically utility-scale solar PV projects with proven expertise in quality assurance and quality control throughout the engineering procurement and construction phases.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop implement and monitor project-specific Quality Plans Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and QA/QC procedures aligned with company and international standards.
- Conduct inspections for PV modules inverters cables mounting structures and other solar components at various stagesdelivery installation pre-commissioning and commissioning.
- Prepare and maintain MIRs NCRs checklists test records and QA/QC reports.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors subcontractors consultants and clients to resolve quality-related issues and ensure adherence to technical specifications.
- Perform internal audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Supervise field inspections monitor construction quality and verify that workmanship aligns with project specifications.
- Support commissioning activities including verification of insulation resistance continuity grounding polarity checks and IV curve testing.
- Ensure traceability and proper handling of materials and construction documentation.
- Assist in training site personnel on QA/QC procedures and best practices.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Mechanical or Renewable Energy Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3-7 years of QA/QC experience with at least 2 years in solar PV projects.
- Solid understanding of IEC/ASTM/UL standards relevant to solar components.
- Familiarity with solar testing equipment (IV curve tracers insulation testers etc.).
- Experience with digital QA/QC systems and documentation platforms (e.g. Procore Aconex).
- ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary multicultural environment.
