The Role
As a English ECT you will:
- Teach engaging and well-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 4 and potentially Key Stage 5.
- Inspire students to develop a deep appreciation for reading writing and critical thinking.
- Contribute to the ongoing success of a collaborative and high-achieving English Department.
- Participate fully in school life including enrichment activities and extra-curricular clubs.
- Receive tailored guidance training and mentoring from experienced colleagues.
Requirements
- Is completing their PGCE or equivalent qualification and will hold QTS by January 2026.
- Has a genuine passion for English and for helping young people reach their potential.
- Demonstrates creativity enthusiasm and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Is a strong communicator with excellent classroom management skills.
- Values teamwork and is eager to contribute to a supportive learning community.
