Estimating Manager at NSS Testing
Part of the NSS Group
At NSS Testing we specialise in the testing installation and maintenance of fall protection and access systems. We deliver a full range of electrical and mechanical project work for commercial clients and property managers across the UK.
Our capabilities include comprehensive design manufacturing and installation services for both internal and external access systems. We also conduct a wide range of inspections and testingservices to ensure buildings remain compliant with current legislation.
Job Overview:
As the Design & Estimating Manager you will play a key role in leading our design and estimating functions ensuring that clients receive safe compliant and cost-effective solutions for accessing and maintaining their buildings.
Youll manage multiple projects from concept to quotation oversee the performance of the design and survey teams and work collaboratively with operations contracts and sales teams to drive continual improvement.
Your job will include:
- Lead and support the design and estimating team to deliver high-quality compliant solutions.
- Produce accurate CAD designs and detailed quotations for multiple projects nationwide.
- Build trusted relationships with clients understanding their needs and providing the best solutions.
- Collaborate across divisions to drive performance consistency and continuous improvement.
- Oversee multiple projects at once ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Develop and empower your team promoting growth accountability and pride in their work.
- Contribute to the growth of the Testing Division through strong client relationships and new opportunities.

Experience / Personal Attributes Required:
- Proven experience in design estimating or project management within a technical or construction environment.
- Strong CAD skills and a keen eye for detail.
- The ability to lead motivate and develop a team.
- A customer-first mindset with a commitment to delivering safe practical solutions.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive positive approach even when things get challenging.
