Security Architect IAM Engineer

Home office in Huntsville TX. May work remotely but would need the capability to report to the office with advanced notice.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

This project role requires a Security Architect / Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to lead efforts in mapping data between legacy and future systems determining what data should be migrated and aligning with the clients enterprise architecture strategy. The individual will document and assess data application network infrastructure and security architectures to ensure consistency and modernization. They must be capable of independently driving IAM-related projects reconstructing security frameworks identifying and resolving security management issues and recommending forward-looking solutions. Strong documentation and communication skills are essential to support architectural decisions and maintain standards across evolving systems.

Job Description

1. Designs cloud-based hardware and software solutions. Expertise in standard concepts practices and procedures of cloud technologies.
2. Designing and addressing key architecture considerations for cloud systems;
3. Publishing updating and ensuring that the architecture models meet business requirements and architecture standards.
4. Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional multi-Service Provider work teams;
5. Familiarity with relational database technologies and capabilities;
6. Knowledge of relevant industry group trends directions major issues regulatory considerations and trendsetters;
7. Ability to justify project equipment or staffing expenditures by identifying costs benefits and associated risks;
8. Ability to work with others in a constructive and collaborative manner;
9. Ability to think critically; to recognize and anticipate a problem (technical operational process organizational) and to identify and implement the best solution in a timely manner;
10. Excellent written and oral presentation skills;
11. Knowledge and understanding of marketplace experience developments and trends related to the Information Technology function;
12. Experience with scalability and performance issues related data bases.

Education and Experience

1. Undergraduate degree required with an information technology focus (preferred) and at least ten (10) years of experience in technical roles in technically complex environments.
2. Or an MBA or advanced degree and at least 8 years of experience in technical roles in technically complex environments.
3. At least 2 years of experience as a technical cloud architect and/or technical cloud lead.
4. Industry Certifications in an area of expertise preferred.
