Scope

The Justice Technology Services MAG Solutions Branch (MSB) requires a Software Developer Intermediate with 5-9 years of experience for developing maintaining and administering IT solutions to support Ontarios courts in the delivery of justice services under various legislative frameworks and rules of procedure.

Assignment Deliverables

Draft technical requirements and prepare detailed technical solution design for maintenance of operational enhancement of mainframe systems and nbsp;
Write or change maintain and unit test programs in IMS DB/DC Mainframe using IBM COBOL for ZOS PL/I BTS JCL and CLIST following existing standards. and nbsp;
Write or change maintain and unit test programs for conversion and Integration (between the mainframe and application servers using tools such as Connect Direct and IMS connect) following existing standards. and nbsp;
Promote programs from development to system test. System test online and batch programs. All work must follow existing standards. and nbsp;
Provide support in the development and amp; production environments. and nbsp;
Develop maintain and print reports using Clist. TSO etc. All work is required to be completed following the MSBs system development life cycle (SDLC). and nbsp;
Prepare specifications and document all modifications and enhancements made following existing standards. and nbsp;
Complete work and achieve milestones within the assigned deadlines; and nbsp;
Provide ICON application support for the users on an ongoing basis; and and nbsp;
Perform other functions related to support and maintenance of the mainframe environment as required under the direction of the manager of the Court Systems Solutions unit
Work with solution design lead to create data migration strategy and prepare data migration packages and nbsp;
Provide application support including participation in on-call rotation and nbsp;
Support the testing teams during system and user acceptance testing
Prepare deployment packages of code and instructions for builds in Development UAT and participate in knowledge transfer and nbsp;

5 years experience in designing developing and maintaining complex mission-critical mainframe applications in the COBOL language against an IMS DB/DC
Demonstrated experience developing system integration frameworks

Over 8 years of overall experience in entire Software Development Life Cycle and nbsp;
Experience maintaining and supporting mainframe solutions and databases and nbsp;
