Job Summary

We are currently hiring for a Polysomnographer Technologist II RRT CRT - On Call/Casual for our St. Paul main campus. Ideal schedule is one 10 or 12-hour shift Monday-Friday. Straight nights. No weekends.

The Polysomnographic Technologist a registered RPSGT or RST with RRT provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders under the direction of a physician. This includes polysomnography diagnostic and therapeutic services patient care and education.

Compensation & Benefits

The hourly wage for this opportunity is $37.24/hour to $55.87/hour with a median wage of $46.56/hour. This position is also eligible for shift differential pay: $3.10/rotating evenings $4.25/hour for rotating nights and $4.25/hour for weekends. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience education certification & licensure and internal equity.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Awareness of the current plans of care.
  • Demonstrated understanding of age and developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
  • Documents accurately and in real time.
  • Responds to changing patient priorities.
  • Provides patient and family education resulting in high quality diagnostic testing and outcomes.
  • Demonstrates accuracy efficiency and completeness in products and processes.
  • Performs tasks with appropriate urgency and accuracy while reducing waste through proactive measures

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care. Must be credentialed through National Board for Respiratory Care and license eligible in the State of MN.
  • Successful completion of a Polysomnography program of no less than one years duration associated with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility or completion of ASTEP program and equivalent experience and documented proficiency of all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician.
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. If new hire holds valid CPR through another acceptable organization (as determined by Gillette) candidate may be able to begin employment but must complete Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association within one month of employment.
