Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Falmouth MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 5x8-Hour Nights
Weekly Gross Pay: $2221
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week night shift assignment at a long-term care facility in Falmouth Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care lead nursing assistants in daily operations and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day activities of nursing assistants in accordance with long-term care regulations.
Participate in planning and coordinating resident care treatments and shift activities.
Accurately complete all required resident documentation including admissions transfers and discharges.
Review transcribe and carry out physicians orders; administer medications and treatments safely.
Monitor and record resident conditions vitals and responses to care.
Make rounds with physicians and assist with treatment planning as necessary.
Maintain adequate stock of medications and nursing supplies; report shortages promptly.
Perform nursing procedures such as catheter care wound dressing suctioning and tube feedings.
Collect and label laboratory specimens (urine blood sputum) and perform routine testing as required.
Educate residents and families on care instructions medications and health maintenance.
Ensure confidentiality and uphold residents rights in all aspects of care.
Participate in audits facility inspections and staff training as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Nurse Supervisor or management.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited LPN program or equivalent nursing degree.
Active unencumbered Massachusetts LPN license (required).
BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) (required).
Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience in a long-term care or similar healthcare environment preferred.
Strong clinical judgment attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and meet all physical requirements of the role.
