Job Summary

The Opportunity

As the Clinical Nurse Consultant you will have the opportunity to be active in a leadership role including the development and provision of evidence-based clinical nursing while working and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across WREN inpatient unit and HITH team.

The opportunity also allows you to act as a clinical expert professional role model and change agent to promote practice development and quality initiatives that promote the delivery of safe efficient and high-quality customer service.

About You

To succeed in this role you will bring a strong clinical skillset with the drive to succeed in a ward-based leadership role.

Your passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service will be matched by your ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. You will be required to role model best practice and provide clinical support to nursing staff allied health staff and lived experience staff.

  • Relevant registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Registered Nurse with experience in Mental Health
  • Post-graduate qualification in a relevant area is preferable.
  • Experience working in perinatal mental health or eating disorders is preferable.
  • Ability to implement and provide education and training for clinical staff.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice recovery orientated practice national standards and relevant frameworks including Safewards.
  • Knowledge and experience in the implementation of service improvement and quality projects.
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision
  • Exceptional customer service strong communication and interpersonal skills
