Equipment Engineer (Associate, Mid-Level, and Experienced)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Equipment Engineers to join our Production Engineering organization in Portland OR. This Equipment Asset Integration/Systems focused position will support exciting new endeavors in the Fabrication Division. Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate Mid-Level and Senior engineers.

A successful candidate in this role will have passion creativity and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. They will also have a strong desire to be out on the production floor interacting with mechanics safety and equipment services and directly supporting the production Production Engineering we need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety quality and integrity.

Primary Responsibilities:

• This is an equipment development implementation and improvement role. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Evaluate program and project requirements develop complex equipment concepts and design solutions for the Production System.
• Compile and analyze technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design usability and rate estimates.
• Ensure compliance with safety producibility maintainability reliability ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and release bid and purchase specifications for equipment needs from suppliers.
• Troubleshoot current production issues related to quality safety and repeatability.
• Develop and implement workarounds and maintain configuration of hardware and documentation.
• Perform studies and make recommendations for disposition of assets.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
• 2 or more years related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2 or more years of project management experience supporting complex technical projects evaluating/selecting equipment solutions and assessing spare parts inventory in a production environment
• 1 or more years of experience working with hardware software and documentation configuration management
• 1 or more years of experience working to industry standards including compliance with hardware and safety codes
• Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques
• Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate across teams

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Associate Level (Level 2): $89250 - $120750

Summary pay range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $105400 - $142600

Summary pay range for Senior Level (Level 4): $129200 - $174800
