Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Location: Atlanta GA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: MondayFriday 6:45 AM 3:15 PM
Additional Requirements: Call and Day of Treatment (DOT) shifts required
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the Operating Room team for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will bring proven skills in ophthalmologic surgical procedures and a strong commitment to patient safety and surgical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures following established aseptic techniques.
Prepare and maintain surgical instruments supplies and equipment before during and after procedures.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient case flow.
Verify and maintain sterile fields in compliance with safety and infection control standards.
Handle specimens and surgical equipment accurately and safely.
Participate in room turnover and case preparation for subsequent procedures.
Collaborate with the perioperative team to maintain quality patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
Take part in on-call and DOT shift rotations as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience: 2 years as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care or specialty surgical setting.
Certification: Surgical Technologist Certification (NBSTSA) required.
BLS Certification: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.
Specialty Experience: Ophthalmology surgical experience required.
Excellent knowledge of sterile technique instrumentation and operating room safety standards.
Strong teamwork communication and adaptability skills.
