Summary:
Seeking a compassionate and reliable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support student and staff health services. Working under the supervision of a Certified School Nurse or School Administration the LPN provides direct care health education and wellness support in accordance with state and district policies. The ideal candidate is experienced in school or community health settings detail-oriented and dedicated to ensuring a safe and healthy school environment. What You’ll Do: - Provide first aid emergency response and health counseling to students and staff.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following physician orders and school policy.
- Assist in maintaining accurate health records and ensuring immunization compliance.
- Conduct health screenings and basic assessments under the direction of the school nurse.
- Support development and implementation of Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs).
- Assist in IEP/504 team meetings and student health planning as appropriate.
- Educate students on hygiene disease prevention and wellness practices.
- Monitor students with chronic health conditions and communicate changes promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Participate in crisis response and emergency preparedness initiatives.
Experience You’ll Need: - Current New Jersey LPN license (required).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience providing nursing care to children or adolescents preferred.
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
