Job Description Summary
The Process Engineer (Joining & Heat Treatment) industrializes and sustains joining and heat treatment processes for gas turbine component repair. The role ensures process capability compliance to GE specifications and long-term reliability of production methods. The engineer collaborates with AMRT Quality and Operations teams to introduce new repair methods and maintain stable repeatable processes that meet SQDC objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities
Industrialize joining processes such as brazing welding and heat treatment for turbine component repair
Support qualification activities (First Piece Qualification (FPQ) / Pilot Lot Qualification (PLQ)) and ensure documentation readiness for production
Maintain process control plans work instructions and frozen parameters
Monitor process performance through key metrics and implement corrective actions as needed
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for joining and heat treatment issues
Partner with Maintenance and Quality to sustain equipment calibration and qualification status
Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time and improve first-pass yield
Provide technical support and training to technicians to ensure safe and consistent operations
Required Qualifications
A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science from a local or internationally recognised university
At least 3 years experience engineering processes in related industry preferred
Knowledge of repair of Gas Turbine components and Joining and Heat Treatment process will be advantageous
Previous experience in repair of industrial gas aero turbines or aeroderivative would be advantageous (but not essential)
Experience in Lean Six sigma would be advantageous

Strong interpersonal demonstrates accountability and influencing skills
Ability to work independently
Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion
Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
