Job Summary

Basic Function:

Provide primary health and emergency care to students and staff in the absence of the regular school nurse.

Education and Experience:

Appropriate certificationas a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse. Current certificationsin First Aid CPR or other areas of need. Computer typing and office organization skills preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary able to sit for extended periods of time but may involve walking and standing (periodically as required) is able to lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds (25 lbs.).

Dexterity finger movements (computer keyboard calculator) eye-hand coordination (office equipment etc.)

Auditory and Visual Requirements within normal range with or without correction.

Other Certifications:

Relevant criminal histories and child abuse clearances.
Highly qualified status
Valid PA Drivers License
Must exhibit high levels of problem solving skills for overall efficiency and productivity in the school environment.

Mental Demands:

Must have a steady response to unpredictable situations.
Must demonstrate independent judgment and discretion in making decisions as well as collaboration skills and interpersonal skills in working with students staff and administration.
Must be able to manage multiple student needs.
