As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Commercial & Investment Bank - Payments Technology team you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Executes software solutions development and maintenance of modular Android frameworks with a focus on security scalability and performance.
- Design and implement secure authentication flows including OAuth2/OIDC biometrics and device attestation.
- Ensure platform integrity through root detection and runtime protection measures.
- Develop clear developer-friendly SDK APIs with comprehensive documentation and example projects.
- Adopt and implement latest Android technologies such as Kotlin Coroutines Jetpack Compose and Android Jetpack libraries.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align SDK interfaces and security protocols.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Write robust unit and integration tests and contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to SDKs and mobile security.
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
- Formal training or certification on Android software engineering concepts and 7 years applied experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and experience with Android SDK and Jetpack Compose.
- Deep understanding of mobile security concepts including OAuth2 OpenID Connect (OIDC) PKCE biometrics (Fingerprint/Face recognition) and secure storage (Android Keystore).
- Proven experience building and maintaining Android SDKs or reusable frameworks.
- Familiarity with Androids security APIs such as SafetyNet and Play Integrity.
- Strong knowledge of modern concurrency patterns in Kotlin (Coroutines).
- Experience with API design versioning and backward compatibility.
- Excellent leadership collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) or other cross-platform shared business logic frameworks.
- Contributions to open-source Android SDKs or internal platform libraries.
- Familiarity with mobile telemetry crash reporting and analytics tools.
- Background in cryptography or secure protocol implementation.
- Experience with advanced Android build systems automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
