POSITION SUMMARYESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Review documentation and work orders to determine production requirements.
Set up monitor and operate a variety of large machines including:
Large armorer
Cabling machine
Parallel and strip line
Pulling eyes
Take-off and payout equipment
Move load and unload reels of various sizes containing product and component parts.
Guide and thread cable into machinery.
Splice wires cap and tie down ends and wrap finished product.
Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Operate fork truck and replace propane cylinders as needed.
Accurately document production data and quality checks.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Train new or less experienced employees as assigned.
Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
13 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
Prior experience operating large-scale industrial or cable-manufacturing machinery is a plus.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn complex machine operations.
Ability to read and interpret work orders production schedules and safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Proficiency in using measuring tools (e.g. tape measures micrometers calipers).
Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
Basic computer and record-keeping skills
