Where You Will Work

Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is the primary division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace. We are a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners fittings and engineered products for the aerospace defense and industrial markets. CAM is currently comprised of nine subsidiaries across the United States split among three segments.

Quality Tech Job Responsibilities

  • Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.

  • Establishes statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error and determining levels of confidence.

  • Develops experiments by applying full and fractional factorial techniques.

  • Develops sampling plans by applying attribute variable and sequential sampling methods.

  • Maintains statistical process controls by applying demerit/unit zone charting x2 charts for distributions and individual-medial/range for multistream processes.

  • Analyzes data by completing hypothesis normal distribution and process capability analysis tests.

  • Prepares reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing data; and making recommendations.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing professional publications establishing personal networks benchmarking state-of-the-art practices participating in professional societies and maintaining ASQ-certified quality engineer qualification.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Ensures products adhere to company and industry quality standards.

  • Brainstorms ideas to create solutions for identified problems

Tasks

  • Communicates job status relevant information to coworkers as well as informing operators on the floor of defective product while performing inspection on the shop floor

  • Completes assigned tasks functions and special projects in a timely manner

  • Read and understand written work instructions

  • Conducts 100% visual inspection of lots as needed.

  • Completes router inspection reports and Non-Conformance Report as needed.

  • Keeps work area organized and clean at all times.

  • Observes all safety regulations in all duties.

  • Performs other duties as required

Physical Requirements

  • Visual acuity for detailed work

  • Must Be able to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist and waist to floor occasionally

  • Must be able to stand throughout the entire shift.

  • Must be able to work in an un-air conditioned well ventilated and/or air conditioned shop environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Good communication and basic math skills.

  • Familiarity and experience with various gages and measuring equipment
