Position Summary
The Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for the administration and support of Pinnacles Microsoft 365 and Azure Cloud environments within the SHV Energy global tenant. Working with limited administrative rights in Pinnacles Azure subscription and Microsoft 365 services this role ensures the stability and performance of Active Directory virtual machines Azure Virtual Desktops cloud storage and Microsoft 365 Exchange assignments and license allocation. All activities must comply with global platform principles role-based access control (RBAC) and policy-driven governance established by SHV Energy.
The analyst will execute and automate standard operational tasks manage incidents and implement approved changes in accordance with ITIL processes escalating tenant-level or global platform changes to SHV Energys central teams when required.
This position collaborates closely with SHV Energys global engineering and governance teams and managed security partners to uphold compliance security and monitoring standards (including identity/JML controls privileged access and SOC processes). The analyst also partners with local stakeholders to deliver reliable services across U.S. operations while maintaining coordination with teams based in Europe.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Administration & Support
- Manage and maintain Pinnacles Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online Teams SharePoint/OneDrive) and Azure resources (Virtual Machines Azure Virtual Desktop storage accounts).
- Oversee Active Directory and Entra ID operations within delegated rights ensuring identity integrity and RBAC compliance.
- Operational Stability
- Monitor system health and performance using Azure Monitor Log Analytics and M365 admin tools.
- Execute and automate routine tasks (e.g. license allocation VM provisioning) via PowerShell and approved scripts.
- Incident & Change Management
- Respond to incidents promptly perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Process approved changes following ITIL standards and CAB governance escalating global-level changes to SHV Energy central teams.
- Security & Compliance
- Enforce least-privilege access manage Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and support Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) processes.
- Collaborate with managed SOC partners for alert triage and incident escalation ensuring adherence to global security policies.
- Collaboration & Coordination
- Act as the local point of contact for infrastructure issues working closely with global engineering/governance teams in the Netherlands.
- Partner with U.S. stakeholders to align infrastructure services with business needs.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations runbooks and change records for audit readiness.
- Provide regular status updates and performance reports to management.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for automation cost optimization and operational efficiency.
- Stay current with Microsoft and Azure updates recommending enhancements aligned with global standards.

Experience
- Cloud Administration: 57 years in enterprise infrastructure operations with hands-on Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Shared Tenant Model: Operating under limited admin rights and escalating global-level changes.
- Change Management: Proven experience working with CAB and ITIL-aligned workflows.
- Security Operations: Familiarity with SOC handoffs alert triage and compliance audits.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinating with global teams (Netherlands HQ) and local stakeholders.
- Project Participation: Supporting migrations upgrades and automation initiatives.
